Seriously, though: How much would you pay? As The Associated Newspapers tells us via TPM, starting in 2010, the winner of the Westminster Dog Show added a new leg to its victory lap of appearances on morning talk shows and Broadway stages. That year, Sadie the Scottish Terrier skipped over to Trump Tower for a photo op with one Donald J. Trump, and a new tradition was born.

Unfortunately, the tradition was cut short in the heat of the 2016 presidential campaign last year. But now all that's over, and Trump's only obligation is running the country, possibly he can carve out some time for this year's winner.

Eitherway, though, it won't be the most controversial aspect of this year's show—not after last month when we all learned, in shock and horror, that a mortal enemy had snuck its way into the venerable dog pageant. Yes, cats. Perhaps this new American era is more dangerous than we thought.
